Welcome to the Boston Pilots
The Boston Pilots was founded in 1783 and is comprised of highly skilled and trained harbor pilots, all of which are USCG Licensed Masters, Unlimited Tonnage Oceans. The Boston Pilots provide Class 1 Pilotage for the Port of Boston and the attributed waters of Massachusetts District 1. The Boston Pilots, as a group, are active on numerous boards and committees in the Port of Boston.
